SPONSORS
NEEDED....BADLY!
Spartan
Youth Radio, a project of Espanola High School, trains
students from grades 9 to 12 to write, report, record,
edit and distribute their own online radio programs. Over
30 students currently working on this project have produced
over 3.5 hours of news, sports, entertainment, arts and
issues stories.
This
innovative program allows students to take an active role
in sharing their stories, talking about what concerns
them and gives them the skills to embrace and use new
media as an effective and dynamic communication tool.
Help Our Students
Expand and Promote This Innovative Project
Spartan
Youth Radio is currently funded by the students themselves
but we’re finding that draws and raffle ticket sales
do not come close to meeting our capital funding needs.
Spartan Youth Radio needs new equipment such as a computer,
monitors, and microphones; a rewired public address system
so that we can broadcast within the school; and promotional
wares such as t-shirts, buttons and stickers in order
to promote to existing and emerging audiences.
We
appeal to your business to become a sponsor. All sponsors
receive complimentary advertising on the podcast, on this
site and in the Spartan Youth Radio studios. Sponsors
of $500 or more will be given a complimentary website
designed by our staff.
If
your business is unable to make a donation, please consider
donating an item or service we could use to promote the
station, award our volunteers or thank our listeners.
Items such as gift certificates, mugs, clothing, CDs and
food vouchers are a great way to promote your business
and demonstrate your commitment to the community while
supporting the voice of Espanola youth!
If
you would like to discuss a one-time donation or a longer
commitment, or for a tour of our studios and a visit with
our students, please contact Teacher Advisor Jayson Stewart
at Espanola Highschool or by email at stewarja@rainbowschools.ca
We
look forward to working with you and thank you for helping
to give a powerful and positive voice to the youth of
Espanola and area!
